How to dump garbage in a systematic manner that causes the least inconvenience to citizens is something that has to be learnt by most. In Faridkot, the municipal council is also allegedly dumping the garbage it collects in an unscientific manner, on the roadside and in thickly populated areas. Stray animals are thus a permanent sight and so are stink and flies. On Kameana Road, the locals have followed the MC and dumped garbage at two places.
"The dumping of garbage has led to the blockage of a sewage pipe. The sewage water spills on to the road, leading to its crumbling," claims Paramjeet singh, a resident of Dashmesh Nagar, near the Kameana Road.
"How can the MC allow garbage to be dumped at such a prominent place, even if it is an empty plot. A large number of residents live near the area and it is an arterial road," said Dhanna Singh, a shopkeeper.
He claimed that the MC employees removed garbage from the spot every two-three months.
Unthinking residents claim that the garbage was being dumped along the sewage channel, which carries most waste water from the city. Plastic bags are thus falling into the sewerage water channel.

{{/usCountry}}When contacted, Faridkot SDM Nacchatar Singh Brar, who is the administrator of the Faridkot municipal committee (whose term has expired) claimed that only Faridkot municipal committee executive engineer can answer any question related to the matter.
