‘Gathering at radical congregation that of unhappy people’

Slamming the Badals, chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Saturday said the people who had gathered at the radical Sarbat Khalsa were common people, who were frustrated and unhappy with the policies of the state government.

She said, “We need to admit that be it the farming sector, common man, industrialists, small traders or teachers, all are unhappy with the policies of the government. The focus should be on addressing their woes and not suppressing them.”

Dr Sidhu said, “The government did not react in time when the sacrilege incidents took place; also, it did not react in time to the demands of farmers. This is the reason anger accumulated and people came on to the roads.”
