Stating that the state government was also trying to bring e-commerce under the ambit of tax, Choudhry told mediapersons that union finance minister P Chidambaram had assured that a budgetary provision for the said amount of compensation had been made.

She added that she had taken up the issue of compensation at higher level as a result of which the central government would now compensate the state to settle its pending claims up to the year 2010. This would further boost the revenue collection, she added.

Choudhry said the real estate developers had also been brought under the ambit of tax and revenue collection of over Rs 200 crore was expected from them. Apart from this, the government was also trying to bring e-commerce as in case of e-bay, OLX and others registered in Haryana under the ambit of tax. They were also liable to pay tax to the government for their commercial activities, she added.
