Thakur, who is on a day-long tour of the district, told a group of reporters at Mair village that there was no basis and logic in the charges levelled by the BJP leaders against the chief minister and his family.

In fact, the charges were framed in retaliation to the Congress government ordering probe into charges against the Dhumals, especially HPCA chief Anurag Thakur for “grabbing” a government land for a cricket stadium, he added.

Thakur said the Congress government had done a lot for the people of the state during the last one year of its rule that was why thousands of people from all parts of the state participated in the Hamirpur rally on December 25.

The BJP was highly upset over the success of the Hamirpur rally that is why its leaders had started targeting the chief minister, ministers and other Congress leaders without any basis, said Thakur.
Earlier, the health minister inaugurated a new building of the Primary Health Center at Mair, which came up at a cost of Rs 43 lakh.

He said the state government was spending a sum of `1,187 crore on health-related activities during the current financial year.

On the occasion, the minister said free health check-up camps for the children studying in various government schools across of the state had been started, which would help children remain healthy and disease-free.
