Jasbir’s wife Kamlesh Kumari said he had called back home on February 26 to inform that his leave had been sanctioned and he would be reaching home soon. The next day, the family received a call from an army personnel, who informed them that Jasbir had disappeared mysteriously .
“The naib subedar said that 13 jawans, including Jasbir, were being ferried in an army vehicle to the base camp, but Jasbir went missing after he alighted to have water somewhere on the route,” said Kamlesh.
“We do not know whom to approach. We request the government to help us locate Jasbir,” said Hukam Singh, his father.
