Hoteliers elated after flight service resumed to Kullu

People associated with the tourism industry here were elated after the Himalayan Bulls, a private air charter company, resumed its flights between Kullu and Chandigarh on Wednesday after a gap of eight months.

People associated with the tourism industry here were elated after the Himalayan Bulls, a private air charter company, resumed its flights between Kullu and Chandigarh on Wednesday after a gap of eight months.

Earlier, the company officials proposed the resumption of its service on April, 10 but it was delayed due to some technical snag.

Chief managing director of the company, Budhi Parkash, told HT that two flights would be flown from Bhuntar airport, one at 11 am and the other at 12.40 pm, to Chandigarh, while the return flights would be at 11.50 am and 1.30 pm. He added that the fare being offered for one way trip is `5,999.

Meanwhile, the tourism industry is expecting a boost. Kullu-Manali association president Anup Thakur said resumption of flights would prove beneficial for the tourism industry.
