While the English exam was somewhat of a morale booster for students of Class 12, the business studies exam, for students of the commerce stream, came as a reality check.
Students of Senior Study II spoke with HT about the format and their attempt of the business studies paper.
“Business studies is a theoretical subject therefore time management was key. The volley of indirect questions made the paper quite lengthy. But this is how we learn management in real time,” Nishchay Mehra said.
“There were no big surprises in the exam - nothing was out of syllabus. Tricky questions, though, were a part of all the three sets. Out of 25 questions, approximately 6 could be termed problematic,” Sahil Chadha shared.
Pranav Popli said that now the students were all geared up for the upcoming math examination which would call for a lot of hard work. “English was easy but the business studies exam has switched on the examination mode. Today we had to write a lot as the questions demanded it. We are hoping for lenient checking, especially for the tricky and indirect questions,” he said.

Most Class-12 students who appeared for the second Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exam of Business Studies on Thursday termed the paper as easy. Coming out of the examination hall, the students looked cheerful and said that CBSE had taken care of its average students as well.
The students, however, were disappointed with Section B of the paper and said that it was lengthy and consumed extra time.
“The exam was easy but lengthy. All questions were from the syllabus and an average student will be able to get good grades in the exam,” Jagampal Singh, a student of Buda Dal Public School, said.
Another student, Arshdeep Singh, said, “As expected, the exam was easy and almost all students managed to complete their paper before time. The questions were easy and we are hoping for good grades in the subject,”
Yash Bhardwaj said, “I found the paper easy, but it was somewhat lengthy. But now everything depends upon the evaluator. I am a bit worried as my handwriting was affected due to the length of the paper.”
