SDM Jasbir Singh has been given a three-day period for the completion of the probe. Sources said the SDM has called up the college management and bus driver Nirmal Kataria in his office in Phillaur at 10 am on Monday.

At 2 pm, he visited Apra village to record the statements of the deceased's family members and of girls, who were travelling in the bus on that day. Raveena's brother, Sarwan Singh, said he was satisfied with the order of inquiry by the deputy commissioner. "I want strict action against the doctors of trauma ward of Civil Hospital for their dereliction in duty and college management for not following norms of state transport department on the directions of high court," said Sarwan. College principal, Gurjant Singh, said he was unaware about the inquiry ordered by the deputy commissioner. "The college management was following norms of the state transport department as per high court order regarding buses of educational institutions," Gurjant added.
