Interprint Expo-2014, which is being organised by the Offset Printers' Association (OPA) considering constant demands of printers of the region, is expected to generate a business of at least Rs 3 crore, said Kamal Chopra, general secretary of the association, on Saturday.
The four-day exhibition, which began on Friday, received an encouraging response on the second day. Nearly 61 exhibitors with different printing equipments have set up their stalls at the expo.
Visitors from various areas, including Karnal in Haryana, Baddi in Himachal Pradesh, Moga in Punjab and other areas within and outside the state, visited the exhibition. At least eight orders were placed on the second day of the exhibition which was a significant number.
Chopra said people from 60 cities of northern states were expected to visit the exhibition that had gathered much attention of those interested in equipments exhibited at the expo.
“We expect that a business of Rs 3 crore would be generated during the exhibition. I have seen eight deals being cracked on the second day on Saturday. The response of the visitors is very encouraging and we hope that more people will visit us during the remaining days of the expo,” Chopra said.
The exhibition is being supported by the union ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). At least 60% of stall charges that have been installed at the exhibition would be reimbursed by the MSME ministry to the entrepreneur registered.

{{/usCountry}}The exhibition was organised after a large number of printers from northern states demanded that they wanted a common platform to buy machinery to a larger audience after which such a facility was made.
Parveen Aggarwal, president of OPA, said advanced machinery and equipment related to printing had been displayed at the exhibition. “The exhibition will give a much-needed boost to printers of the region,” he added.
