Meanwhile, the production and related operations came to a halt after almost all the workers went on indefinite strike against the unilateral decision of the management of the company, issuing transfer orders of certain workers to outside state.

Raising slogans, the workers assembled outside the company's premises and later held a rally against the alleged dictatorial approach of the managements against the Himachali workers.

President and general secretary of the Indo Farm Workers Union Dinesh Kumar and Sohan Singh, respectively, said the trouble started after the management allegedly terminated the service contract of over six workers and issued transfer orders of office-bearers of the union to neighbouring states. This led to resentment among the factory workers, who after discussing the issue threadbare in a meeting, decided to go on strike till the acceptance of their demands.

Dismissing the workers' charges, company's HR manager Rajesh Saini claimed that the transfer orders have been issued in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract adding that the management had never acted against the workers.
