Pakistani intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had organised a training camp for six members of pro-Khalistan outfit Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) in Thailand three months ago.
The camp was held at Mae Sot, a district in western Thailand along the border with Myanmar in order to train these members in manufacturing explosives.
The 10-day camp, held by two senior agents of the ISI, including a Myanmar national, was held as a preparation to strike at various locations in Punjab in near future.
The arrested KLF man Harminder Singh alias Mintoo was one of these six members; the other five, who are of Indian origin, belong to European countries.
The ISI had also offered Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan Zindabad Force to be part of the training camp, but they did not do so.
The ISI had also given huge financial aid to the terrorist outfit for the training camps and for making their operations successful in India, especially in Punjab.
Mintoo revealed this during interrogation by a team of senior police officials led by SSP Narinder Bhargava and SP detective HPS Khakh at the CIA staff here on Saturday.
Mintoo was brought here from Delhi by the Jalandhar rural police on Saturday morning and produced before the court of civil judge (junior division) Arun Gupta.

{{/usCountry}}Talking to HT, Bhargava confirmed about the training camp, a kind of first outside Pakistan. The SSP said Mintoo, who had a son and a daughter based in Canada, repeatedly visited Thailand.
"Mintoo had not only repeatedly visited Thailand, he had also made several visits to Pakistan, Canada, Cambodia, Germany, Italy and Belgium," he added.
Bhargava said the KLF had conspired to eliminate Pathankot-based Shiv Sena leader Yograj Sharma besides striking at various places in the state.
The SSP said Mintoo had been facing 10 criminal cases in various police stations.
"It is a huge success for Punjab Police that we have arrested Mintoo, the kingpin of the KLF who was planning to strike in Punjab," he said, adding that the police would interrogate him for the next eight days and would try to get more information about the KLF and other outfits.
