Jail inmate injured seriously in clash

An inmate of the Faridkot district jail was seriously injured today in a clash with a fellow prisoner, police said. Mandeep Singh, a murder accused who was shifted recently from Ferozepur to Faridkot jail, was seriously injured when he was hit on his head with a sharp-edged weapon by another inmate Devinder Singh, they said.
