Jalandhar: Son of Congress leader shoots self accidentally, injured

Uday Chaudhary, 26, son of a senior Congress leader Manjinder Singh Chaudhary sustained serious injuries after he accidentally shot himself outside Taj Restaurant in Garha, Jalandhar late Saturday night.
He accidently pulled the trigger while testing his friend’s pistol.
Uday was rushed to a private hospital at Link road where his condition was declared stable.
Manjinder Singh is former district Congress president and the son of late MLA Darshan Singh Chaudhary.
The cops have initiated investigation into this incident while Uday’s statement is awaited.

5 of a family among 6 found dead in 2 Jammu houses; police set up SIT
Five members of a family and their employer were found dead in two houses in Tawi Vihar locality in Sidhra on the outskirts of Jammu city late on Tuesday, police officials said on Wednesday, adding that they suspect the deaths to have been caused by poisoning. The police received a call from the sister of one of the deceased, who said that her brother was not responding to calls, Jammu SSP Chandan Kohli said.
