JCP Gurgaon gets additional charge in Vadra land deal probe panel

Joint commissioner of police, Gurgaon, Saurabh Singh has been given the additional charge of DIG in the inquiry commission which will be probing grant of license to some entities, including Robert Vadra's firm, for developing commercial colonies.

Joint commissioner of police, Gurgaon, Saurabh Singh has been given the additional charge of DIG in the inquiry commission which will be probing grant of license to some entities, including Robert Vadra's firm, for developing commercial colonies.

Singh has been given the additional charge on Monday in the one-man commission headed by retired judge of Delhi High Court, Justice S N Dhingra, an official release said.

Haryana government had formed the commission on May 14 which would function from Gurgaon. It is to submit its report within six months.

Among other things, the commission will probe circumstances under which the license(s) were granted by the Town and Country Planning department for developing commercial colonies in Sector 83 of Gurgaon and whether these entities were eligible for license(s) as per the law.

It will give findings and recommendations, particularly relating to the allegations of criminal conspiracy, criminal misconduct and private enrichment, if any, and the role of public servants and private individuals, an official spokesperson said here recently.
