JE beaten up in Abohar, 7 booked

Infuriated over the loss of various electronic gadgets due to the power supply with high voltage, inhabitants of a locality in Abohar, a subdivision of Fazilka district, allegedly thrashed a junior engineer (JE) of the Powercom on Wednesday.

Seven persons, including a woman, have been booked under section 353, 356,341,186 and 148,149 of IPC.

Residents alleged that last evening, a resident of their colony with the help of Radhe Sham, JE, got removed a pillar and, later the JE got connected the power supply of the colony directly from the high-tension wire.
