Sullar was here to lay the foundation stone of the advocate chambers. Separate land near the new judicial court building has been already reserved for the construction of the advocate chambers.

Justice Sullar said it is the best court complex in the whole state he had seen.

The fourth block for the advocate chambers will have four storeys with 29 chambers on each floor as per the approved plan by the building committee of the high court.

Earlier, the chambers were to be constructed by lawyers with their own funds, since the state government had recently dropped the policy to provide any kind of financial help to advocates.

“Finally after so many requests, the government agreed to provide us help of `1 crore to construct the advocate chambers,” Sarabjit Singh Ahluwalia, president of the district bar association, said.
