A 23-year-old government elementary school teacher in Kapurthala suffered 35% burns when one of her ex-colleagues threw acid on her on Tuesday morning, reportedly over rejection of his marriage proposal.
The victim, a resident of Talwandi village, was proceeding to her school on Activa scooter, when the accused Paramjeet Singh, her former colleague came on a bike and attacked her with acid.
She has been admitted in civil hospital, Kapurthala where her condition is reported to be stable.
