Kin of Kirpal , who died in Pak jail, to get help from Punjab govt

On the lines of the Sarabjit Singh case, Punjab government would extend all help and relief to the family of Kirpal Singh who died in a Pakistani jail earlier this week in mysterious circumstances.

On the lines of the Sarabjit Singh case, Punjab government would extend all help and relief to the family of Kirpal Singh who died in a Pakistani jail earlier this week in mysterious circumstances.

Stating this here, Harcharan Bains, adviser to the chief minister, said here that CM Parksh Singh Badal was deeply disturbed at the tragic development and the trauma and agonies suffered by Kirpal Singh in Pakistani jail where he was lodged since 1992.

Badal said that lending a helping hand to the family of Kirpal Singh was the moral duty of the state government. Expressing solidarity with the family of Kirpal Singh, the CM promised “whole-hearted support”.

The CM assured the family of another life convict Nanak Singh, lodged in Pakistan jail, about ensuring his safety and security.

Badal impressed upon the centre to make use of all political and diplomatic channels for ensuring security and safety of the Nanak Singh so that he could be freed from the jail forthwith.
