Days after she reprimanded railway officials for arriving late at an inauguration event at the city railway station, MP Kirron Kher on Saturday lost her cool yet again before handing over keys to shopkeepers of the newly built old-book market in Sector 15-A.
As Kher reached the venue, a couple of shopkeepers and residents had gathered holding flower bouquets to welcome her. Seeing them holding flowers, Kher got angry and turned towards area councillor Saurabh Joshi and chided him.
“I have told you so many times not to gather so many people for the welcome ceremony. I will leave if you don’t stop these formal activities,” she told the councillor. She asked him not to do the same again.
She also asked city mayor Arun Sood as why he was not present during a programme at the railway station on October 3. As the MP got upset with the two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, the residents and shopkeepers present remained mute spectators.
Addressing the gathering, Kher said it was a good move to provide roof to small businessmen who are earning bread for their families by selling old books among others.

{{/usCountry}}She said the municipal corporation recently completed the survey of street vendors under the Street Vendors Act with which rehri-phari owners will earn their livelihood with dignity and nobody will disturb them for carrying out their business.
The mayor said there are 36 shops built on 3120 square feet area at Rs 8.65 lakh. The block has provision of toilets and parking also. He said this was a long-pending demand of the shopkeepers.
