Wife of Kurukshetra University vice-chancellor Lt Gen DDS Sandhu (retd) has withdrawn her complaint of domestic abuse against her husband.
In her complaint to the police, Sukhjit Sandhu had levelled several charges against Sandhu.
Deputy superintendent of police, Kurukshetra, Satish Gautam, said that the couple was invited for counselling at an undisclosed place on Sunday and they mutually agreed to settle the case. No FIR was lodged in the case.
"Complainant Sukhjit Sandhu and her husband were present while their son mediated and they resolved the matter at family level. Later, she withdrew her police complaint," said Gautam, who was inquiring into the matter.
He said that in cases of domestic problem, the affected people are often urged to solve the matter amicably.
Sukhjit confirmed to HT that the issue had been settled within the family and she did not intend to take any legal course against her husband.
