Labourer slits friend's throat,cuts off his private part

It has also been learnt that the accused also cut off his private parts. Police said the accused, a labourer, fled the spot after leaving the body in his rented accommodation atop a factory at Kot Mangal Singh area of Daba.

Jagdeep Singh, owner of the factory, said he was shocked to see the naked body of an unidentified man lying in the pool of blood. He sounded the police following which Jasdev Singh Sidhu, additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP), city-2; assistant commissioner of police (south) Rupinder Kaur Saran and inspector Jatinder Kumar, station house officer (SHO) at the Daba police station, reached the spot and initiated investigation.

The police have registered a case against Prem Chand of East Champaran of Bihar and launched a manhunt to arrest him. The police also tried to identify the deceased, but to no avail.
The SHO said Chand had been living in a rented house atop the factory of Jagdeep Singh for the past 20 days ago.

The SHO suspected that the reason behind the barbarian act could be old enmity. He said the police had already dispatched several teams to East Champaran, bus stand and railway station to arrest the accused. The police were trying to identify the deceased, he added.
