Loose, canned food, beverages found to be unsafe

The food and drugs administration department, Haryana, has found several samples of loose and canned food and beverages to be unsafe, sub-standard and misbranded.

The food and drugs administration department, Haryana, has found several samples of loose and canned food and beverages to be unsafe, sub-standard and misbranded.

In a press release, health minister Anil Vij said that two samples of 'Abhinandan Desi Ghee' taken from Kurukshetra were found to be sub-standard. Likewise, mineral water 'Thanda Jal Brand' and 'Shri Om Brand' were found to be unsafe.

Similarly, samples of sweetened carbonated water 'Parcolime Brand' were found unsafe and two samples of 'Mirinda' taken from Hisar were found misbranded.

Likewise, samples of 'Doaba Desi Ghee', 'Easy Max Brand Desi Ghee' and flavored milk collected from Hisar, samples of 'Leeladhar Brand' desi Ghee, 'Madhusudan Brand Desi Ghee' taken from Gurgaon and samples of sweetened carbonated beverage 'Mast 3 Orange Brand' collected from Kurukshetra were found to be misbranded, he added.
