Caste politics which is prevalent in the country since Independence would soon disappear as the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting elections for development and equality, party's Gurgaon nominee Yogendra Yadav said on Thursday after filing his nominations for the April 10 polls.
Yadav and three other candidates -- Dharampal Yadav of Congress, INLD's Zakir Hussain and Dharampal Rathi of BSP -- on Thursday filed their nominations here. Sitting MP Rao Inderjit Singh, who recently quit the Congress to fight the elections on a BJP ticket, is yet to file his nomination.
Talking to reporters, the AAP candidate said he was not fighting elections against anybody, but against corruption, nepotism and criminality prevailing in the entire country. Builders and liquor mafia rule the state while a lay man keeps crying for basic amenities, Yogendra Yadav claimed.

"Gurgaon parliamentary constituency is very diverse in many aspects as on one side there are hundreds of high-rise buildings with latest modern world-level facilities and on the other side Mewat, the area which has no infrastructure and is full of poor people," the AAP nominee said.

{{/usCountry}}The Congress governments in the state and at the Centre had not done anything for the economically-weaker sections of the society living in Mewat, BSP candidate Rathi told the reporters. "This district which is just 50 kilometres away from the national capital has no primary facilities," Rathi said.
