Video of Ludhiana bank robbery: Rs 2-lakh reward for info on masked men

Taking it up as a challenge, the police commissioner has announced a Rs 2-lakh cash reward for any information on the accused in the Rs 15-lakh robbery that took place in Punjab National Bank at Jawahar Nagar Camp on Monday afternoon.

Apart from that, he has also announced the same cash reward and promotion for cops who provide information or are successful in arresting the accused.

Police have pressed several teams to solve the case. Cops scanned CCTV cameras in the vicinity to trace the accused who robbed the bank at gunpoint in broadlight. They were riding Pulsar motorcycles without registration plates on them.

Here’s what had happened on Monday

Police suspect that the accused did a proper recce of bank premises. They suspect that a local gang is behind the robbery. They are also going through three months’ worth CCTV footage.

Police commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh said police will conceal the identity of the person who provides information on the accused.

Four armed persons robbed Rs 15 lakh at gunpoint from Punjab National Bank at Jawahar Nagar Camp on Monday afternoon and fled with ease. Division number 5 police registered a case under Sections 397 (robbery, or dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Arms Act.
