The Daresi police had arrested Lal Ji Saroj, his brother Shankar Saroj, and their 16 years old friend, all residents of Shivpuri area, and registered a case under section 376 (2)G of the IPC against them after swab tests confirmed rape of the victim, who had allegedly been impregnated by her tormentors.
A student of Class 3, the girl has told the police that the three accused, who live near her home, raped her around one-and-a-half month ago after taking her to a room on some pretext.
As they threatened her, she kept mum but the matter came to light after she suffered pain in the stomach and was discovered to be pregnant.
Sub-inspector Sanjiv Kumar said the two main accused are labourers, while the minor accused's father owns a flower shop in front of Tootiyan Wala Mandir at Shivpuri.
Rajesh Batish, a senior criminal lawyer, said that according to section 376(2)G of the IPC, the accused in a gangrape shall be punished with a jail term not less than 10 years that may extend to life imprisonment: Only due to special reasons, to be mentioned in the judgment, can the court impose a sentence of less than 10 years.
