Machine tool manufacturers elected governing council members of SPV

Finally, after rigorous efforts, the machine tools manufacturers have been able to resolve the conflicts prevailing between them and elected new office-bearers of the governing council of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) on Wednesday.

Finally, after rigorous efforts, the machine tools manufacturers have been able to resolve the conflicts prevailing between them and elected new office-bearers of the governing council of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) on Wednesday.

A meeting of representatives of the warring factions of machine tools manufacturers was held in the office of director, micro, small and medium enterprises development institute ((MSME-DI) to elect the new office-bearers of the governing council.

The meeting was held in the presence of three member committee formed for resolving the difference including director MSME-DI, SS Dhillon, president federation of association of small industries of India; Badish Jindal and Yash Pal Gosain, vice-president of Ludhiana foundry and small industries association.

Kulwant Singh was elected as the president of special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed for implementing the cluster development programme (CDP) in the industry, while Talwinder Singh and Inderjit Singh Gahir were unanimously elected respectively as the general secretary and cashier of the SPV.

Expressing delight over the development, general manager, district industries centre, Mahesh Khanna, said the representatives would ensure smooth implementation of CDP for the benefit of the industry. “The differences among the members of SPV were resulting in inordinate delay in carrying forward the CDP,” he said.
