Rural development and panchayats minister Sikandar Singh Maluka has praised the role of private institutions to improve the standard of education.

Addressing students here at a private institution, Maluka said that private institutions are also playing a big role to improve the education standard and provide quality education to students in the rural areas of the state.
He said that the state government had taken several steps to improve the standard of education in government schools.
"With the efforts of the government and help of private players, the number of universities in the state has increased to 22", Maluka said, adding, "We want every student of the state should get good education in private and government schools."
Chief secretary Sarvesh Kaushal said parents and teachers should do their best to prepare the students for the national and international level competitions.
