Man killed as PRTC bus rams into tractor in Faridkot

The bus driver was trying to overtake the tractor when the bus hit the tractor. There was no passenger in the bus.

A man, driving a tractor, was killed after his vehicle was hit by a PRTC bus from the rear in Tehna village here.

The deceased was identified as Nirmal Singh, 22, of Hamirgarh, Bathinda. The bus driver was trying to overtake the tractor when the bus hit the tractor. There was no passenger in the bus.

After the bus hit the tractor, it overturned causing fatal injuries to the driver. A passerby informed the police following which the victim was rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot. However, he succumbed to his head injuries at the hospital.

Police have registered a case under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) at Kotkapura police station.
