According to information, Surjit Singh, son of Lakha Singh of Alipur village, a student of Class-4 of the primary school in the village, went out with fellow students after the examination. Meanwhile, Surjit was hit by a bike and injured seriously.

The two riders of the bike picked up the body telling others on the spot that they were taking the injured to a hospital but, instead of taking him to the hospital, they allegedly threw him into the canal.

Lakha Singh, father of the victim, had filed a complaint with the police alleging that the two riders of the bike which had hit his son had taken away the injured along with them.

The police traced the bike riders and they have been identified as Anand Kishore and his son Ramesh Kumar, residents of Loppe Khurd village in Ferozepur.
