The KBM members said the suggestions given in report were "anti-national" and that the union home ministry should immediately abolish the report and remove it from their website. They also said Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India and the government should ensure that it remained so.

"The President of India should ensure that adequate steps are taken to declare J&K as an integral part of India, like all other states.

We all know that Raja Hari Singh, on October 26, 1947, officially declared Kashmir as a part of Indian Union," said Anil Goyal. The KBM members added that it was not only the right but also the duty of the union government to take back the area occupied illegally by Pakistan in Kashmir (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir).
