Minor kidnapped, raped; recovered from Muktsar

A minor's rape has come to light after four days when two of the five suspects have been arrested here. Suspects Gurwinder Singh, Binder Singh, Soma Kaur, Jaspal Kaur and Lakhdeep Singh, are charged with kidnapping and raping a village schoolgirl who is 14. Lakhdeep and Jaspal Kaur are under arrest.

Suspects Gurwinder Singh, Binder Singh, Soma Kaur, Jaspal Kaur and Lakhdeep Singh, are charged with kidnapping and raping a village schoolgirl who is 14. Lakhdeep and Jaspal Kaur are under arrest.

The girl's abduction from Jandawala village in this district was reported on Monday, when two sisters, one aged 11 and the other 13, were raped in the state. The suspect in that case is Prem Pal, a migrant labourer from Uttar Pradesh and the girls' neighbour, who had found them home alone.

In the Jandawala crime, the girl's parents were unaware till Sunday night that she had been kidnapped. On Monday, Gurpreet Singh, station house officer of Naiyanwala, registered the complaint on the statement of the victim's father. The police recovered the girl from Farakhsar village of Muktsar district, from the house of suspects Binder Singh and Soma Kaur.

At the disclosing of the incident, suspect Gurwinder Singh managed to escape. Jaspal Kaur had a score to settle with the victim's family, and she had helped the prime suspect, Gurwinder Singh of Malout, rape the child.
