Miscreants loot tempo driver on Jalandhar-Pathankot highway

In his complaint, victim Mahavir (30) of Pamma village said, “I was driving my tempo from Pathankot to Jalandhar to purchase bread.

Five unidentified men looted a tempo driver in Jallowal colony at Jalandhar-Pathankot highway and took Rs 25,100 from him on Thursday.

“Around 12 am, when I was in Jallowal area, an Innova stopped ahead of my tempo and five men came outside flashing a torch on me. They called themselves cops.” (Representative image)

They called themselves cops and on the pretext of checking, they took Rs 25,100.”

A case under Section 379 (B) (snatching) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against accused at Kartarpur police station and the hunt has begun.
