Mandi superintendent of police Mohit Chawla, while interacting with media persons here on Monday, said that the police had found the 13-year-old missing girl from Nepal and that she was the third one to be recovered in the last three months.

Chawla said that the girl had been missing from Ladbhalor area of Joginder Nagar sub division since December 27, 2014 and the police had registered a case under Section 363 and 366 of Indian Penal Code and formed a special investigation team.

The girl's father doubted his tenant, who was a native of Nepal, behind the act. Later, the police traced telephone calls of the victim and a police team, led by station house officer Aut area, Lokender Negi, searched for the girl and found her from Kelali district of Nepal.

Chawla said that earlier the police recovered two more minor girls- one form Kangra district of the state and second from Jallandhar of Punjab area. The girls were resident of Balh and Joginder Nagar sub divisions.

He added that proper action would be initiated against the people, who rented the house and the contractors who provided jobs to migrant labourers without their verification and registration.
