Dr Prabhjot Kaur (in-charge, PTU Mohali campus) and Dr Navneet Sohal, French expert, PTU) participated as resource persons. Institute principal Dr HS Sandhu welcomed the resource persons.

The seminar described the importance of foreign languages in job prospects in multinational companies (MNCs). Language scholars from PTU said students skilled and trained in foreign languages can enhance their job chances in various fields. The speakers pointed out that national and international companies were investing globally in different countries for outsourcing their work, so students proficient in foreign languages could easily get placements in MNCs.

Most of the research surveys prove that average earners with linguistic abilities are paid 12% higher salaries than their counterparts without linguistic abilities, a speaker at the seminar stated.
