Congress' HKS Bawa, acting as mayor, along with Paramjeet Singh Pamma, chaired the session. Bawa entertained questions from members of the house and gave funny answers, adding to the comedy in the 'house'. He indirectly imitated the role of Sunil Jyoti.

Congressmen raised issues like the pathetic condition of the city roads, maintenance of street lights and the rise in incidents of dog-bite cases in the city, besides the failure of the civic body to provide basic facilities to people.

Jagdish Raj, who was playing the role of leader of opposition, was the only original in the mock meeting, who kept on raising questions about the corruption that has become synonymous with the civic bodies to which he got blatant shameless answers from the 'mayor', which in short brought forth the sorry condition of the city reeling under the 'mismanagement' of the civic body.

Accusing the mayor of playing in the hands of bureaucrats, the Congress members alleged that the general house meeting is being delayed at will because the leaders, who are heading the civic body, are afraid of facing the questions regarding the rampant corruption carried out by them instead of serving the people of the city.
