Four people have been booked for seeking a loan of Rs 30 lakh from a private bank by allegedly submitting forged documents, police said on Monday.

Gurpreet Singh, Hardit Singh, Kulvinder Singh and Surinder Singh have been booked on charges of cheating a local branch of a private bank by submitting forged and fake documents and seeking a loan of Rs 30 lakh, they said.

After receiving a complaint from the bank authorities on Sunday, the police registered a case against the accused after a preliminary enquiry. No arrests have been made in this connection so far, police said.
