Revealing this here on Thursday, Punjab Congress general secretary Rana Gurjeet Singh said railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal had assured a delegation of Moga residents that their long-pending demand will be fulfilled soon.
Rana Gurjeet said the railway ministry was considering a proposal of a direct day train between Moga and New Delhi, besides exploring the possibility of making the Ferozepur-Delhi train via Moga.
"As of now, Ludhiana Shatabdi comes to Moga twice a week, while the new Shatabdi will run daily," Rana Gurjeet said.
