Nearly two weeks after cops raided a house being used as a brothel in the Miller Gunj locality, pictures of a couple without their clothes on imploring the person behind the camera not to click their photos have surfaced, putting the police in a difficult situation.
The photos of the couple somehow got leaked and have now gone viral on the mobile messaging application Whatsapp as well as on popular social media sites.
In the pictures, which are with Hindustan Times, the humiliation that the couple was subjected to is visibly apparent. While the naked man is pleading with folded hands and covering up his face, the woman is trying to hide her face from the camera.
The photos were allegedly taken during a search conducted at the house by cops of the Division Number 2 police on June 8. The police had arrested 14 people, including seven women, at the scene and later booked them under sections 3,4,5 & 8 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
When contacted, inspector Barjinder Singh, SHO at the Division Number 2 police station, said the raid was conducted by the head of the PCR motorcycle squad, inspector Gurbachan Singh. “I arrived at the scene only after the team raiding the house informed me about the arrests, and if someone photographed the couple before I turned up, I’m not aware about that,” he added.

{{/usCountry}}Gurbachan said the house, at which the police suspected a prostitution racket was being run, was raided after the cops were tipped off. He claimed no one from among the police team clicked the photos of any of those present in the house, adding any one of the several people who gathered at the scene after coming to know about the raid could have done so.
Hindustan Times has forwarded the pictures to additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) Amrik Singh Pawar, who said he would investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
