New industrial policy's to focus on transparency, reforms: Capt Abhimanyu

The new industrial policy of Haryana, to be announced in 10 days, would focus on bringing transparency and structural as well as procedural reforms so as to facilitate entrepreneurs, industries and commerce minister Capt Abhimanyu said on Thursday.

The new industrial policy of Haryana, to be announced in 10 days, would focus on bringing transparency and structural as well as procedural reforms so as to facilitate entrepreneurs, industries and commerce minister Capt Abhimanyu said on Thursday.

Addressing a conference on manufacturing organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Gurgaon, he said Haryana was land of opportunities and with a population of 1.3% of the country, the state's contribution is 3.4% in the national economy.

He said during the past six months, the government had done lot on creating support infrastructure by identifying the needs of the market and entrepreneurs. He said the Palwal-Manesar stretch would be completed in nine months while the remaining stretch up to Kundli would be completed in two-and-half-year. The road would be made six-lane instead of four-lane, he said.

Stressing the need for setting up micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in hinterland of Haryana, he said it would also generate employment opportunities for the youth. He called upon the entrepreneurs to adopt best international practices of human resource, labour and environment in their units to bring them at par with multinational companies.
