NHPC will shut down its power generation at 520 MW hydel project Parbati-3 on November 19 onward to do maintenance work of the power project.
In press statement issued to media project official stated that on November 18 in evening hours project authority will open the water gates of the project dam at Siund in Sianj valley of the Kullu district, which will be continue till next day.
According to public relation officer Abhay Kumar Singh of project authority Parbati-3, the maintenance work in the project will be continue for the next two months in the district and during that period power generation will remain shut in the project.
Project authority urged the people of region to refrain from to visit nearby Parbati river from Siund dam ahead toward Mandi region because release of water from the dam would increase the water inflow.
According to the project authority, it will raise alarm through hooter and loud speaker to alert the people in the area before releasing the water from dam to avoid any danger.
