Old bomb found in Ferozepur village

A bomb has been found in a Sahan Ke Hedar village, close to the border, in Ferozepur district on Wednesday evening. The bomb was found by a farmer Jagir Singh and his son Kala Singh of the village, when they were working on their fields and their kai hit something hard underneath the soil.

A bomb has been found in a Sahan Ke Hedar village, close to the border, in Ferozepur district on Wednesday evening. The bomb was found by a farmer Jagir Singh and his son Kala Singh of the village, when they were working on their fields and their kai hit something hard underneath the soil.

The material was suspected to be bomb and the police was called-in, who later informed BSF officials and alerted the Army authorities.

Till the filing of this report, the police had cordon off the area and were awaiting the arrival of bomb defusing squad. The bomb might be from the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
