Besides 14 superintendents of police, 39 deputy superintendents of police and more than 4,000 cops of other ranks will be present to look after the security arrangements of the mega event that will witness performance by Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal, Sharry Mann and Miss Pooja. Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, other MPs, chief parliamentary secretaries and MLAs are expected to be present at the inauguration ceremony.

The multipurpose sports stadium of Bathinda where the inauguration ceremony will take place has a capacity to accommodate 20,000 spectators with proper seating arrangements. Looking at the past experiences, the authorities are expecting a crowd beyond the capacity of stadium and thousands of people might have to remain outside the stadium. This will be the main cause of concern for the police administration.
