Pak elderly man brought to India for liver transplant

Arshad Mahmood, 66, a Pakistani national, was brought to India on Wednesday through the Attari border for liver transplant.

Mahmood, who was shifted into an Indian ambulance waiting at the zero line, was accompanied by his daughter Rabia, who will be the donor. Border Security Force and Integrated Check Post officials facilitated their entry into India.

Mahmood, who’s reportedly a property dealer and has been unwell for past some time, will be treated at a Delhi-based hospital and will remain in the national capital till recovery. He has been brought to India for advanced treatment after thorough consultations with the Indian hospital, said sources.
