Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday visited the families of the jawans killed in the Pathankot airbase attack and promised them all help from the government.

Badal visited Chak Sharif and Jhanda Gujjran, the hometowns of martyrs Kulwant Singh and Fateh Singh respectively, and condoled with their kin, saying the soldiers’ sacrifice will always be remembered.
“They (jawans) will go down as immortal names in the history of our great nation,” Badal told the bereaved families.
“The country will always be indebted to them.”
The chief minister also paid tribute to the other security personnel killed in the attack and lauded the role of the personnel of the National Security Guard (NSG), the army and the Punjab Police for killing the terrorists and defending the Pathankot airbase.
