Pathankot attack: Four officials feted by Mussoorie IAS academy

Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration has felicitated four Punjab officers for ensuring safety of 18 Indian Administrative Services (IAS) probationers during the terror attack on the Pathankot airbase in January this year.

The Mussoorie-based academy has sent letters of appreciation to Pathankot additional deputy commissioner (ADC, general) Kumar Sourabh Raj and Pathankot Improvement Trust executive engineer Satpal Singh besides Jatinder Singh and Sanjeev Pathania, both working in the DC office. The IAS probationers were at the Pathankot cantonment railway station, when the alert was sounded. After the DC office was informed about their arrival, the four officials were given the duty to ensure their safety. Kumar Sourabh Raj told HT that Punjab officials had tied up with their counterparts in Himachal Pradesh to make arrangements for the safe travel of the group, which was taken to the Dalhousie airbase in a minibus.
