After a delay of over two months, the elections for Punjab Agricultural University’s Teachers Association (PAUTA) will now be held on July 22.

Several professors posted at various echelons in PAU were ruing that current president Harmeet Singh Kingra, general secretary KS Sangha along with returning officers had failed to do carry out their duties in terms of hosting fresh elections on time.

However, with the announcement of election date, they are finally elated. Other than this, on Thursday, the Punjab Agricultural University’s Teachers Association will revise its constitution for elections, under which, fresh rules and norms will be formulated by the expert committee.
