PGI to host ‘Game of Thrones’ themed annual fest on January 27

Dragons, famous characters, seven kingdoms, treasure hunt, fashion show will give the premier institute Game of Thrones look.

The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) will don the look of ‘Seven Kingdoms’ of the television series Game of Thrones (GOT) which is the theme of Zenith-2018, an annual function of the institute starting January 27.

The Iron Throne, a 15-feet tall dragon, hall of faces, cut-outs of characters Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, banners of seven kingdoms will be displayed outside the Bhargava Auditorium, which will be the ‘King’s Landing’.

The craze of Game of Thrones is quite visible among the doctors who have been working on the event since August. From the language used in the invitation to the events, everything revolves around the renowned series.

Diljit Dosanjh to entertain on Jan 30

‘Valar Dohaeris! From the house PGI...It's less than a week for the most awaiting event of the season, ZENITH 2018. Here’s revealing the trailer of a big filmy starry night. The heartthrob of the industry Diljit Dosanjh comes to enthral you all on 30th Jan 2018,” mentions one of the invite.

When asked why this theme has been selected, Dr Rimjhim said, “Our institute is second best medical college in the country and its annual function should also be of that level. GOT is very popular among the youth hence we decided to go with this theme.”

The students of Government College of Arts, Sector 10, are designing the dragon.

Starry night

The doctors will dance on the beats of Punjabi music, as singers Diljit Dosanjh, Garry Sandhu and Priyanka Goyat will entertain audience on different days. Further, Sunil Grover popularly known as ‘guthi’ will inaugurate the event on January 27.

The doctors behind the event are Dr Sombir Singh, Dr Swapnil Pattanshetti, Dr Rimjhim, Dr Nikesh Tank, Dr Sandeep Tula, Dr Dilip Vaishnav, Dr Ashish Bansal and Dr Namesksh.
