Bibi Dr Inderjit Kaur, president of the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, on Saturday announced that seven patients from different states having different diseases had been successfully cured and were being sent back to their home towns.
Out of these seven patients, four are women. They belonged to Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.
“When they had came to Pingalwara, they did not even know their name and address,” said Gulshan Ranjhan, a medical social worker, who has closely watched them recovering.
Gulshan identified them as Kalia (50) from Unaayi (Gujrat); Jatinder (37) of Mustafabad Batala Road, Amritsar; Radhe Shaam from Chhattisgarh; Basanti (42) from West Bengal; Dharma Singh (25) from Andhra Pradesh.
Pingalwara administrator Karnal Darshan Singh Bawa said, “Their treatment was costly. We have spent a huge amount on them and in some of the cases the expenditure exceeded Rs 50,000. Now they are fit, we will send our workers with them and bear their travel cost.”?
