PM's programme: CS goes all out to make arrangements

The Haryana government is going all out to make arrangements for the national launch of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ programme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a two-day workshop-cum-seminar at Panipat later in January.

The Haryana government is going all out to make arrangements for the national launch of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ programme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a two-day workshop-cum-seminar at Panipat later in January.

Chief secretary Depinder Singh Dhesi has assigned duties to 18 IAS, director general of police and 18 HCS officers for ‘flawless and foolproof arrangements’ and smooth conduct of the two programmes.

The workshop-cum-seminar will be held on January 20 and 21 before the launch of the scheme on January 22.

While 16 IAS officials of the rank of additional chief secretary and principal secretary have been made nodal officers for making arrangements and supervision of transport, cultural programmes, rally ground, exhibition, sanitation and cleanliness, accommodation and security, two IAS officers and 18 HCS officers have been deployed at Panipat to assist the district administration in making arrangements for the two events.

The chief ministers of Gujarat, Rajasthan and West Bengal are expected to be among the key speakers in the inaugural session of the seminar on nutrition, early child care and education, child protection etc.
