People's Party of Punjab (PPP) president Manpreet Singh Badal hinted that his party would contest from Moga in the ensuing byelection as sitting Congress MLA Joginderpal Jain has resigned from his party as well as from his legislatorship.

Addressing his party workers here on Friday evening, Manpreet called upon them to be ready to give a befitting reply both to the opportunistic leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Congress. It is unfortunate that the Punjab completely failed to give good leadership and good governance which caused a vaccum of political leadership.

The PPP leader was strongly critical of failure of the SAD-BJP alliance government on the law and order front and even the police personnel are not safe in the state which was quite evident from Amritsar incident where an ASI was shot dead by the ruling party workers and now in Ludhiana where an IPS officer was attacked and got his leg fractured.

People of the state have never seen such incidents when police personnel were attacked.

The people of Punjab, according to Manpreet, were now looking after for good leadership and good governance.

He called upon party workers to reach Muktsar to participate in the Sanja Morcha conference on the eve of Maghi on January 13.
